How to use this dashboard:
Click any state on the map to filter all charts to that geography. The map can be toggled between two views — share of population that is AANHPI, and total AANHPI population — using the control above the map. States with large AANHPI communities by share (Hawaii, California) look very different from states with large communities by count.

Use the three Compare Subgroup drop-down menus on the Overview tab to add up to three specific ethnic communities to the educational attainment and poverty charts. Only subgroups with reliable sample sizes for the selected state will appear in the dropdown.

Click the tabs across the top to explore each topic in depth. The full subgroup charts on each tab show all available ethnic communities for the selected geography.

Click anywhere outside a state to return to national figures.
